February 17–19, WordPress community members from across the region will gather in Bangkok, Thailand for WordCamp Asia

While this is the first WordCamp to be held in Asia (other WordCamps have been held in the U.S., Europe, and Central America), it will undoubtedly be an excellent opportunity for WordPress community members to network, learn about the latest developments in WordPress, and contribute to the world’s most-loved CMS.

WP Engine is proud to serve as a WordCamp Asia sponsor alongside some of the best-known names in WordPress, including Yoast, WooCommerce, and WP Rocket

Attendees will hear from experts about important innovations, including strategies for scaling an organization with WordPress, starting a subscription-based business, making data-based decisions, and thinking like a hacker so you can better protect your sites. If you’re unable to attend in person, you can still get all the important insights shared at WordCamp Asia by watching the livestream.

Stop By, Say Hi!

Whether you’re just milling about the conference or have specific questions about WordPress hosting with WP Engine, you can find our friendly reps in attendance at WordCamp Asia at our booth.

Make sure to stop by and find out more about recent innovations and new products we’re focused on as we enter 2023. Our representatives are excited to answer your questions around everything from headless WordPress development and WordPress eCommerce to our growing set of tools for developers and agency builders

All virtual and in-person attendees who are new to WP Engine can also get 20% off their first month of hosting, or they can combine the discount with our annual plan to get 4 months free hosting! Visit the booth to find out the coupon code for this offer!

WP Engine is also sponsoring a networking event after the conference on Saturday, February 18th at Three Sixty Lounge. The venue is located inside the Millennium Hilton on the 32nd floor, and our guests can enjoy their downtime and a few drinks as they network with other WordPress aficionados from across APAC. To commemorate this WordCamp Asia 2023, attendees can also take home a fan favorite in their swag bag after visiting the WP Engine booth—a WordCamp t-shirt! This year’s logo features a wordmark in the shape of the national animal of Thailand: the Thai Elephant. A symbol of wisdom and strength, the elephant seemed a fitting symbol for a weekend spent learning and building a stronger WordPress community in APAC and beyond.

WP Engine’s Growing Presence in APAC

In recent years, we’ve been focused on growing WP Engine’s presence in APAC.

Since the opening of our Brisbane office in 2017, our Australia-based team has achieved 400% growth across WP Engine’s APAC customer base.

In 2022, we announced the expansion of our global presence and performance in APAC with the launch of our platform in Singapore. By extending our presence to Singapore, we are actively reducing round-trip latency for sites serving the wider APAC region so that agencies, developers, and business owners can create faster, more performant digital experiences using WordPress.

Singapore is a global hub for business, financial, and technical innovation, and WP Engine’s growing presence there allows us to meet growing customer demand for WordPress users across the region. Our goal is to enable builders in specific regions with the tools they need to succeed on a global scale by providing them with more and better localized resources.

Our product ecosystem has all the developer tools, security protocols, and digital optimizations our users need to thrive across APAC and beyond, and we’re committed to promoting the power of WordPress in every corner of the globe.
