WP Engine formally kicked off its APAC expansion plans last week, hosting a landmark customer event at The Fullerton Hotel Singapore.

With some 50 attendees, including representatives from leading Singapore-based agencies and brands as well as members of the WordPress community and media, the event  was a smashing success, and a fitting way to highlight WP Engine’s growing footprint in the region.

Surrounding the event, WP Engine provided briefings to the media and hosted a VIP dinner with representatives from The Law Society of Singapore, Temasek Polytechnic, and key agencies in Singapore including Tribal Worldwide and Aleph Labs.

The Velocity of Agency Growth

Ahead of the main event, the WP Engine team also hosted digital leaders from Aemorph, ChillyBin, Lenovo, Rush Hour Digital, WebPuppies, and whiteGREY for the next slate of its award-winning Velocitize Talks interviews, which feature agency innovators and digital disruptors from around the globe.

A Trusted Partner, Now Closer Than Ever

After extending its platform and products to customers across Asia with the launch of new servers in Singapore in June, WP Engine is matching the growth of its technical capabilities with a team based in Singapore, poised to assist regional customers and partners as they grow their businesses.

WP Engine has extended its platform and products to customers across Asia with the launch of new servers in Singapore

This expansion is in response to a spike in customer demand seen across Asia and specifically in Singapore, which is a global hub for business, finance, and tech innovation, and it comes on the heels of  WP Engine’s five-year anniversary in Brisbane, where it launched in 2017.

Since launch, WP Engine’s Brisbane-based team has overseen a staggering 400% increase in APAC customers, laying the groundwork for additional growth across the larger region.

“With the expansion of our platform, our products, and our team in Singapore, WP Engine is set to build on the amazing success our team based in Australia has already demonstrated,”  said WP Engine Senior Vice President and Managing Director, International, Fabio Torlini.

”I have no doubt that our Australia team will only continue to expand WP Engine’s impact, and together with their counterparts in Singapore, we will create some of our most incredible partnerships yet.”
