WP Engine is built on five core values: Do the Right Thing, Customer Inspired, Where the Best Get Better, Built to Last, and Aspiring to Lead, Committed to Giving Back.

Aspiring to Lead and Committed to Giving Back means that we support and engage with our local communities, working to change lives, and growing and thriving together. That’s why WP Engine employees and teams across the globe engage in philanthropic activities that we believe will positively impact the community around us.

In an effort to give back to the community in 2019, 11 members from the WP Engine London office will be cycling from the London Eye to the Eiffel Tower in an effort to benefit Help for Heroes, a nonprofit organization that supports veterans with injuries and illnesses attributed to their service in the British Armed Forces.

This is the second year in a row that the WP Engine team in London has organised an epic bike ride—last year the team rode from London to Amsterdam. This year the team will cycle for more than 300 miles in an attempt to raise £8,000. This money will go towards the Help for Heroes core mission of providing physical and emotional rehabilitation and recovery to currently enlisted and veteran Servicemen and their families.

Help for Heroes provides rehabilitation programs that help Servicemen reenter civilian life at the Tedworth House Recovery Centre.

The WP Engine cycling team is asking for your help raising money before their ride on the last Bank Holiday weekend from May, 24th – 27th. Help the team reach their £8,000 goal and donate now.

In 2018, the WP Engine cycling team rode from London to Amsterdam to benefit Mind, The Mental Health Charity.

“As a passionate cyclist, I’ve always thought it would be amazing to ride on two wheels to Paris,” said Sales Engineer Edmund Turbin. “This is a huge physical challenge that I want to accomplish with the WP Engine team at my side.”

Every day, seven people leave the Armed Forces with life-changing injuries. Many families need specialists to help aid the recovery from wounds both visible and hidden. Your donation allows Help for Heroes to continue providing vital support, now and in the future. We sincerely appreciate any support you’re able to give.
