Why We’re Updating Out-Of-Date Versions Of Jetpack

One of our missions at WP Engine is to ensure your WordPress experience is as secure as possible.

With that in mind, we’re immediately updating all of our customers who are using an out-of-date version of the Jetpack plugin to the latest version, 3.7.2. This update comes after several security issues and vulnerabilities were found in older versions of the plugin. You can read more about it here.

As a WP Engine customer, no action is required from you—we’ll take care of it. Our team is identifying sites running outdated versions of Jetpack and automatically updating them to version 3.7.2.

Updating to the latest version of Jetpack is the only way to ensure that your site is protected from these vulnerabilities.
