WP Engine Ireland Named a Best Workplace in Tech for the Second Year in a Row

After being named one of the country’s best workplaces earlier this year, WP Engine Ireland has been designated a Best Workplace in Tech by Great Place to Work, the global authority on workplace culture.

This marks the second year in a row that our Limerick, Ireland hub has received this honor, recognizing the innovative, flexible, and forward-thinking practices and cultures developed by organizations within Ireland’s dynamic tech industry.

Using the global standard Best Workplaces methodology as its basis, the list of Ireland’s Best Workplaces in Tech highlights technology organizations as employers of choice in an increasingly competitive talent market.

The list includes 25 companies, in no specific order, which were ranked highest by their employees on the Great Place to Work Trust Index Survey. The survey gauges the level of trust employees experience in their leaders, the level of pride they have in their jobs, and the extent to which they enjoy working alongside their colleagues.  

In gathering and analyzing this information, Great Place to Work can identify outstanding employers characterized by a trust-based, “people first” workplace culture their employees love.

This information is also a valuable external validation that helps us acquire an unbiased understanding of how our employees feel at work while serving as a testament to our thriving workplace culture for potential employees. 

The theme of this year’s list centers on employees’ lived experiences in the tech sector, focusing on social connection in today’s increasingly hybrid remote/in-person setting. 

Back-to-back placements on the list are a testament to our Limerick team’s sustained, purposeful focus on building an excellent workplace culture that has helped employees navigate uncertainty and change over the past two years. 

WP Engine’s Limerick office opened in 2016, marking a significant expansion of our customer support and engineering capabilities in Europe while serving as the spark for further investment in the region and future company growth.

In less than six years, our Limerick team has been recognized by Great Place to Work numerous times, both as one of Ireland’s Best Workplaces (four years in a row) and on specific lists such as Best Workplaces in Tech. 

This level of impact, especially within such a relatively short period, is no small feat in Ireland’s thriving tech industry, which employs more than 100,000 people and is the second-largest exporter of computer and IT services globally.
