With more than 160,000 attendees and 3,500 professional filmmakers, the Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival is the world’s largest international festival dedicated to short films. Held annually in Clermont-Ferrand, France, it is the second-largest film festival in France next to Cannes.
With an ever-growing list of activities surrounding the annual event, the staff at Clermont-Ferrand often has their hands full. As their list of responsibilities has continued to grow, they began to notice that their custom-built proprietary content management system (CMS) was slowing them down. Making regular changes to the website, including the addition of new sites that would let the team communicate externally, all seemed to require a developer.
In an effort to find an easier, more agile solution, they began building sites with WordPress. However, after a brief stint trying to manage the backend on their own, they decided to find a partner with professional-grade WordPress expertise who could help them get even more out of the platform. Check out this full case study to find out how Clermont-Ferrand staff has worked with WP Engine to build out their web presence and grow the festivals’ footprint overall.
