WP Engine and Its Employees Donating $115,000 to Support Organizations Helping With Covid-19 Relief Efforts

WP Engine today announced that together with our employees we will donate $115,000 to Covid-19 relief efforts around the world by matching the sponsor fees from our SUMMIT/2020 customer event and using the funds to match over 3X the $26,000 donated directly by WP Engine and Flywheel employees.

Donations are being given to several employee-selected nonprofit organizations providing health, hunger, and safety relief to help those affected by Covid-19 in cities where we have offices and distributed employees. Those cities include Austin, Brisbane, Kraków, Limerick, London, Omaha, and San Antonio.

Now in its fifth year, WP Engine has reimagined SUMMIT/2020 as a digital event, which is taking place on June 10th. As a virtual event, SUMMIT/2020 features engaging content and dynamic expert speakers with a mix of live-streamed and on-demand content, including sessions followed by online networking opportunities. Keynoting SUMMIT/ 2020 will be Robert Herjavec—founder & CEO of cybersecurity firm Herjavec Group and a leading investor on ABC’s hit show Shark Tank.

WP Engine is matching the sponsors’ fees to create a fund that will provide donations to nonprofit organizations around the world providing food, shelter, or medical relief to those affected by Covid-19. That fund will match the more than $26,000 that WP Engine and Flywheel employees have already donated over the last few months toward Covid-19 relief. The organizations are:

Our hope in fostering this effort is to channel the activity around our Summit into a good cause and create a positive impact in the communities where we work and live, which have all been affected by the pandemic.
